First Methodist of Tallassee is a part of the Global Methodist Church. We hold to three historical creeds as the standard of our doctrine: the Apostle’s Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Definition of Chalcedon.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make disciples by calling people to commit to love God, connect with one another, and engage in service to the world.
Our Vision
The way we plan to grow people in discipleship is by emphasizing spiritual disciplines like worship and study of Scripture, being involved in a Sunday School or other small group, and serving in one of our ministries.
Our Distinctives
Methodist is distinct among orthodox Christian traditions in our emphasis on the universal work of grace, the new birth , and the fullness of salvation.
